How to read it
The calculator compares one order of one item with one order at the tier. Costs per order are paid once either way, which is why tiers often pay even with a discount: you ship one parcel instead of one parcel per item.
It cannot tell you how many shoppers will choose the tier; that depends on your store. Run an A/B test with two discounts to find out: Happy Bundle tests up to four versions of an offer.

How do I work out the right discount for a quantity break?
Compare your profit on a single-item order with your profit on a tier order. The deepest discount that still earns at least as much per order is your ceiling; most stores set the tier well below it.
