Bundle inventory on Shopify: how stock and SKUs update
"I sold a bundle but the items inside did not go down." It is one of the most common bundle questions. Here is how each way of selling bundles handles stock, SKUs and fulfillment.

Fulfillment and 3PLs
Because the order lists the real items, your packing slips, fulfillment apps and 3PL see what to pick and pack. If your warehouse system expects a single bundle SKU instead, a manual product or an inventory-sync app such as Simple Bundles may suit you better.
When an item runs low
- Sold-out sizes are marked in Happy Bundle's pickers and cannot be picked, or you can hide them.
- A low stock notice can show how many are left; for a bundle it counts whole bundles.
Questions merchants ask
Do Shopify bundles track inventory of the individual products?
With Shopify Bundles and with Happy Bundle, yes: each item's stock updates. With a manual bundle product, no: you adjust it yourself.
Why did my bundle sell but the components' stock not change?
Usually because the bundle is a plain product that Shopify does not link to its items. Use Shopify Bundles or an app that splits the bundle into its items.
